Brownie Brittle is the delicious invention of Sheila G. Mains, better known as Sheila G. For almost two decades Sheila G has made a name for herself in the food industry making delicious brownies served in fine restaurants across the country. One of the perks of running a commercial kitchen where all of these brownies were made was getting to stroll through and eat the crispy edges left on the pans. Come on, don’t lie, you know you peel the crispy edges off the pans to eat too.
Over time Sheila G started to notice these crispy edges were becoming pretty scarce in her kitchen. But where had they gone? She soon discovered her employees loved the crispy edges as much as she did and were harvesting these delicacies for themselves before she could get them. You know they’ve got to be great to eat your boss’s favorite treat and not leave any for her. Luckily for us, Sheila G was inspired to try making a whole pan of just this crunch brittle and Brownie Brittle was born!
Brownie Brittle comes in three flavors: Chocolate Chip, Toffee Crunch and Peanut Butter Chip. They’ve got the great chocolaty flavor of a brownie combined with a perfect level of crispiness without being too hard. Each order comes with a 4 ounce bag of each of the three flavors so that you can sample them all. We love Brownie Brittle. At one point, there were seven bags of Brownie Brittle sitting around my office. They weren’t samples, no one had sent them to us. I’d love to claim that they were for “research purposes,” but they weren’t. I paid for each bag, I had actually bought them to share with friends but they never got that far. Consider this fair warning: they are more than a little addictive. You’re fight for the corner piece has finally come to an end.
